Hoya ND400 filter was used to achieve slow shutter speed.

excellent shot mate, im guessing there was little to no wind for the tree to come out so sharp?

yup, very little wind, because the tree is on a side of a valley and the hills are protecting it. this view is looking up that side. if it were a live tree, the leaves would show the movement for sure, but the dead branches were very still.
when we got to the top of the hill, we felt the wind, and it was cold...
